01
Overview
Companion is a local-first desktop AI assistant for sales work. It is operated by SPARKLING WATER PRIVATE LIMITED("Convinced," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we handle information during our invite-only beta.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
02
Information we handle
Depending on how you use Companion, we may handle:
- Account information, such as your name, work email, organization, and login details.
- Content you choose to use, such as prompts, conversations, local files and folders, CRM records, emails, calendar events, call transcripts, notes, and generated work.
- Connection information needed to link services you authorize, including scoped OAuth credentials.
- Diagnostics, such as app version, feature state, performance, crashes, and content-free connection or tool events. Interface recordings, when enabled for the beta, mask text and inputs.
- Communications, including beta feedback and support requests.
03
How information is used and stored
Companion stores conversations, session state, settings, and work artifacts primarily on your device or in folders you select. Local content stays on your device unless you ask Companion to use a managed AI model, a connected service, web research, or another cloud feature.
When you do, the information needed for that task is sent to Convinced and the relevant provider to generate a response, retrieve information, or perform an action you approve. We also use account and diagnostic information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the beta.
04
Connected services and sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run Companion, with connected services when you request an action, with your organization as directed by its account settings, or when required by law or a business transaction. Providers may include AI model, hosting, authentication, analytics, research, CRM, email, and calendar services.
You control which integrations you connect and can revoke them through Companion, the provider, or by contacting us. Companion's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
05
Retention, deletion, and security
Local data remains on your device until you delete the relevant session, file, or app data. Deleting a Companion session removes its app-owned conversation and run state but does not delete files in folders you selected. Cloud account, connection, diagnostic, and task data is kept only as long as needed for the beta, security, support, legal obligations, or the service-provider function involved.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including scoped access and protected credential storage. No system is completely secure.
06
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we control. You can also disconnect integrations and stop using Companion. If your organization manages your beta access, it may control some account information and connected content.
Companion is for business users aged 18 or older. We may update this policy as the beta changes and will post the new effective date here. To make a privacy request, email ggs@getconvinced.ai.
